Swim Weekly: 5/6-5/11//First Home Meet Info
Howdy Rattlesnakes Family,
Woo Hoo, what a great day it turned out to be on Saturday! The crazy weather held out and we were able to have a successful day of Time Trials! The absolute best part of Saturday was seeing so many young swimmers swim off the blocks with a buzzer start for the first time with such bravery and courage. I also had the privilege to witness many older swimmers being helpful and leading the younger kids throughout the meet. I already cannot wait for our first official meet this Saturday, but first we have work to put in at practice this week.
Here are a couple helpful things to know for the next few days:
-Individual pictures are this Thursday from 4-6 PM, I'm sure the line is going to be long and may take time, so please be patient while you wait for your child's picture to be taken.
Don't forget to sign your child up on Swimtopia by Wednesday at 8 PM for this week's swim meet!!
We will be hosting our first home meet this Saturday, and it will be an early one!
UPDATES:
Our swim meets are only possible with the help of our amazing volunteers and without each of your help and support we wouldn't be able to host any home swim meets. With that being said, we are short many volunteers for this Saturday's meet!!
All families need to complete 6 shifts of a volunteer position. (If you are on a committee, you do not need volunteer shifts.)
Home meets are an opportunity to pick up additional shifts and our meets end at noon. Once you have your 6 shifts for the season, you can chill! Please keep in mind, if we do not have appropriate coverage for our 2nd shift for volunteers, we will make timers a "first come first served" sign up at Circle in on Saturday morning. So please, sign up for a 2nd shift Timer slot to help the team out. We will also move our scribes to a timing position if we cannot get coverage for the 2nd shifts below.
VOLUNTEER SHIFTS NEEDED: (All are second shift)
10: Shift 2 timers
1: Shift 2 ready bench
2: Shift 2 scribes
