Rattlesnakes Swim Weekly 5/8-5/10
May 7th
Howdy Rattlesnakes Families!
Woo Hoo, what a great day it turned out to be! The bubble held out and we were able to have a successful Time Trials! Today could not have been possible; nonetheless run so smoothly without our coaches and amazing committee and board members who put in hours of work and preparation to make today such a success! The absolute best part of today was seeing so many young swimmers swim off the blocks with a buzzer start for the first time with such bravery and courage. I also had the privilege to witness many older swimmers being helpful and leading the younger kids throughout the meet. I already cannot wait for our first official meet this Saturday, but first we have work to put in at practice this week.
Here are a couple helpful things to know for the next few days:
-Any swimmer who did not make Time Trials needs to submit the attached google doc and attend practice this week on either Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday from 4:00-4:55 to collect their stroke times. Go to the competition pool (the pool on the right hand side with the blocks) and look for the coach with the timer. If you do not have your times taken, you will not be able to swim this Saturday (the weather does not look favorable this week, so I do not recommend waiting until Wednesday to get your times.)
-**The red tie dye team shirts were a BIG HIT and are super fun with the catchy design and bright red color! With that being said, I highly recommend you wash the shirt separately to avoid the red dye getting on your other clothes.**
-Individual pictures are this Tuesday from 4-6 PM, I'm sure the line is going to be long and may take time, so please be patient while you wait for your child's picture to be taken.
-
Lastly, don't forget to sign your child up on Swimtopia by Wednesday at 8 PM for this week's swim meet!!
I appreciate everyone's cooperation today as I know it was a bit hectic at the beginning with the weather but everyone remained positive! It is going to be a fantastic season for our Rattlesnakes; and I am thankful to be a part of it with each of you!
Keep Swimming Fast & Furious!!
