Swim Fast & Furious Rattlesnakes!
================================================================
Below are a plethora of details you will need to navigate Trinity on Saturday and/or Sunday. PLEASE READ ALL OF IT. A few important points:
* PLEASE make sure your swimmer is aware if they are swimming in a relay
* ALL swimmers will remain on deck during the event. Parents are not allowed on deck. For our 10 & under swimmers, We will have designated Rattlesnake parents with them at all times monitoring every move they make.
* Warm-Ups both Saturday and Sunday begin at 7 am, with the meet starting at 8 am. Lane assignments for warm-ups, both days are attached along with the pool layout. Note that in the West pool, lanes 1-4 are open and can be used as starting block warm-ups in one direction only.
* Awards: Awards will be distributed to team reps or designated alternates at the conclusion of each session. Please make sure that you have a team rep or coach pick up your team’s awards at the end of each session.
From Trinity:
The Trinity Summer Classic staff look forward to hosting your families this weekend. The Conroe ISD Nat is primed to deliver a fast meet in a tournament-class facility you've come to expect at Trinity. We're prepping the pool and making sure everything is ready for a first class meet. Hospitality is ready to feed our coaches and meet officials, and concessions will be available for all participants. We are expecting around 450 swimmers this weekend!
Now all that's needed is you! As you arrive, please be advised of these Nat rules and helpful tips:
- Please find a seat when viewing the swimming. The Conroe Nat has plenty of seating and great views, so please do not loiter at the rail, blocking the view of other spectators.
- Estimated timelines for Saturday and Sunday are given here and here. Please note that this is just a guide. We recommend you show up early for your events in case we are running ahead of schedule. Please note that due to significantly lower than expected turnout, we have had to combine sessions on Saturday and Sunday. All 10&unders will swim starting at 8 am on Saturday and all 11&Ups will swim starting at 8 am on Sunday. For both days we are estimating an 11 to 1130 am finish time.
- Heat Sheets for the meet are available electronically for $2 each day. You can get a pdf of the heats sheet for Saturday or Sunday.
- The Swimtopia Mobile app for your iPhone or Android device is recommended. Swimtopia Mobile will be updated in real-time to show event and heat in the water, however we will not be able to display live results in the app. As the results are verified, they will be uploaded to the Trinity Swimtopia site here. To view the results you will first need to register, which can be accomplished at the following link.
- SwimShops of the Southwest will be open during both days of the meet.
- We ask that all volunteer timers sign in at the volunteer table in the lobby BEFORE the meet starts for the day (sign in starts at 6:30 am) so that you can get your wristband for deck access when the meet starts. There will be a timers meeting at 7:45 both mornings under the large scoreboard.
- Trinity t-shirts will be available for sale in the pool lobby before and during the meet sessions.
- I have attached copies of the pool layout, along with warm-up times and lane assignments. They are also available on the Trinity Summer Classic Swimtopia site (trinitysummerclassic.
swimtopia.com ) - Please respect the Conroe ISD Nat facility by following the CISD Rules below:
* Due to construction, for 2021 only, CISD has asked that there be no tent set-up surrounding the facility. All spectators should sit in the stands. Please do not bring in large coolers or personal chairs. Both sessions (Saturday and Sunday) should be complete in 3 to 3.5 hours
* Although CISD has lifted most restrictions (no masks required), they are still encouraging only one spectator per swimmer.
* Swimmer set-up will be on deck. We will have designated bleachers (with team signs) for each team set up prior to the meet. Each team has been asked to designate parents or coaches to sit with the kids during the meet to make sure they are comfortable and get to their events on time.
* Only meet staff, officials, coaches, and approved volunteers with wrist bands are allowed on deck. This includes during warm-ups. Volunteers will receive wrist-bands at check in. We still have slots open both Saturday and Sunday for Timer/Scribes, so sign up today! Timer/Scribes have the best spot to view the swims.
* Absolutely no vehicles are allowed on the grass at any time. Please unload/load vehicles from the pavement.
SWIM FAST & FURIOUS!
